My name is Erin. I have been married to my best friend for almost 40 years. I was only 18 years old when we married and we had our first child only 15 months later. Our 2nd son was born 3 years after the first. Then, just a few days after our 20th anniversary, we had our 3rd son. He was the best "surprise" we've ever had! But also taught me why you should have children when you are young.

I had to wait a very long time before I got to be a grandma but it was well worth the wait. We now have 1 beautiful grandson that is 18 months old, with a granddaughter due in 6 weeks. I never thought anything could be as great as being a mother but I have to say that being a grandmother is just as good!

Writing is something that I have always done. I started writing short stories back in my 20's. I never tried to get any of them published, mainly because, though they were "fiction," the charactors resembled people I know way too much. I guess I just don't do fiction well. I like the facts.

I like to write about everything. I have strong opinions, as you will see, but I also like to see the funny side of things. Politics are something I like to write about but only occasionally because I find that subject can consume and infuriate me, so I pace myself.

I'm very optimistic and I like to stay happy. My husband says I wear rose colored glasses. My oldest son says that I not only think my glass is half full, I think it is overflowing. I love those compliments!
